TCF rips off their "Convience Checking" customers. This checking account does not earn any interest but you MUST keep a \$500.00 balance at all times otherwise they have an exorbitant, so called "Maintenance Fee" of \$9.95 every MONTH. On a yearly basis this maintenace fee adds up to \$120.00.....major rip off. This is how this bank makes money off of their customers. This is complete disregard for their banking customers. I will NEVER bank at TCF again.
Not the most competent staff. I had a number of bad experiences that started out as a simple bank mistake, but compunded into major situations. The manager did finally redeem herself with the last problem, though. And I continue to bank there. Wait time to see a banker or teller is usually minimal.
