The tax commissioner refunded property taxes to a bank in May 2025 for taxes that were paid in 2022/2023 then waited almost a year to notify me (who didn’t own the property in 2022/2023) about a levy. She did not follow legal mandates and did not allow us legal due process. When trying to resolve the matter she offered simply to “waive the late fees” and continued with the levy proceedings. You all sit in that office and fail to update the website! It has been months and still no updates. Court documents have been filed and sealed so what’s your excuse for failing to update the tax assessors website with correct information? What are you all doing? Getting paid to do nothing? Tattnall county is small so there’s no accuse why you all should be behind with property record updates!
