Honestly, I think this program saved my life. In 2023, I was in a deep depress. It seemed like all that could go wrong in my life, did. I had recently began experiencing terrible back pain around age 23, which was devastating. I lost my job. I felt alone. I didn’t have any motivation, drive, or interest to live. Beautiful
Talmar is a therapeutic farm, designed for Veterans, Disable, and those with Brain Injuries. We participate and watch the entire process of plant growth to harvest and sometimes plant destruction by animals or insects. All processes help with all therapy.
Beautiful place! Awful nonprofit organization with a horrible director of operations. I live locally and visit almost daily. I was interested in volunteering and donating. I’ve met a few people who were really nice but the director has some real nurse ratchet vibes. Upon meeting her I didn’t have the opportunity to speak to her about volunteering because she promptly tried to chase me off the property of which is actually a public park open to everyone.
