At our FCRV (Family Campers and Hikers Assoc.) Southeast regional campout we visited Table Rock Tea Company farm and had a wonderful tour to see how tea is made and grown! They are one of only a few commercial tea farms in the United States. It was an outstanding experience and the tour was free!!! We had wonderful views of Table Rock as well! This is family owned and their 16 year old daughter was so knowledgeable and a perfect tour guide and shared many inspiring stories about their struggles and success!
My husband raves about this tea! I make the tea, he drinks it! I am a coffee person. But I enjoy making this for my deserving husband. I want to buy more....maybe a day trip to Pickens County.
Booked a free tour. Learnt about the founders, their struggles, faith, and success. Inspiring story behind it. Having learnt the tricks of trade from Kenya, and starting with modest tree planting for family and friends, it today is of decent size with nearly 12000 tea plants. Rare gem in SC. Locals should definitely support it Tour guide was awesome.
