This company makes hand painted tiles that they advertise can be used as flooring. The glaze or painted coating on this terracotta tile should never be used for flooring. It’s much too fragile. Several years after installation of our tile fireplace, the hearth tile began to haze and degrade. The paint is now chipping off on at least 20 tiles.
