I would definitely recommend Sylvan. My son, Brandon, 12 years old did tutoring with Sylvan SW. He made really good progress in both English and Maths following his time there. The tutors were kind, professional and very supportive to his learning requirements and provided ongoing feedback and reports so we could see how he was doing every half term and in between. Our family is very satisfied with our experience at Sylvan in Springbank so far. We registered our son during the CBE strike because we were concerned that he would fall behind. While deemed at grade level, he’s benefiting from the extra support that he is gaining which ensures that the fundamentals are in place. Our son is excited to attend his learning sessions twice a week and is motivated by the reward system. As parents, we get regular updates on his progress and general updates which help keep us organized.
Sylvan helped me get my SAT score up from a 1200 to a 1480! Woohoo!
Sylvan has been great for us. We started in the summer to get ready for school but my daughter is enjoying the sessions so we kept on going. She is feeling more confident in her classes and the sylvan reports show her progressing. The team has been super responsive and flexible with the teachers strike. Hours are not cheap but we are finding value.
Our teenager started to attend Sylvan SW late last summer to prep for the upcoming school year. We found the support very helpful and decided to continue with it during the school year. My son now attends recurring sessions to get ad-hoc support for some of his high school science classes, as well a writing support. These sessions help streamline what areas he needs to focus on when preparing for tests/ exams.
