Are there other families financially harmed by the sudden closure of Sylvan Learning Center in Santa Rosa, CA? My family prepaid for tutoring services and still has a significant unused balance after the center abruptly closed with less than 24 hours’ notice. The business stated refunds would not be provided for unused prepaid sessions. These pre-paid packages run between $3000-7500 depending on number of sessions purchase in advance. My son attends Sylvan Learning for help with his Math 3 homework, and we’ve had a fantastic experience. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and really take the time to explain concepts in a way that clicks for him. We’ve seen a noticeable boost in his confidence and his ability to tackle math problems on his own. Sylvan is wonderful. Jim is fantastic and is so kind to the kids and children. The system sylvan has is proven successful and my son has not only caught up to his grade level, he easily follows along in class. Best decision any parent can make.

Our daughter received math tutoring here. Very organized, safe place to learn. Good experience overall.
