I highly recommend the Portage Sylvan Learning Center. I've been using the center's services to help me in preparation for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) after graduating from college years ago. I've started to make great progress towards my goal of getting a high score on the exam. The Director and her staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We have used Sylvan for almost a year and have noticed several issues. There is no record or transcript of what students learn. We requested copies of the learning materials, but they were not allowed to be taken home. We also tried to set up monthly meetings with the director to see the class materials. but several were just waste of times because they overlapped with class times so she refused to bring the folder of class materials.
