We’ve been going to Sylvan to help my daughter catch up on reading over the summer and at the start of school year. She is excited to come every day and is catching up to her grade level. Recommend for any kid needing just a bit extra. The prize system keeps her motivated too!

Our experience with Sylvan was incredibly disappointing. We were so excited to get our 5-year-old started there and thought she’d be going there long-term, but we were quickly disabused of our enthusiasm. First, we were told the initial assessment would be comprehensive and cover both reading and math. Instead, the “assessment” only tested whether she could recognize letters and sounds, skills she mastered years ago. We’ve had a great experience so far with Sylvan Learning as our son gets ready to start 1st grade. The staff is friendly, professional, and really knows how to connect with young kids. They created a plan to help build his reading skills. Most importantly, he’s more confident and actually enjoys learning now. We’ve seen real progress and are so glad we chose Sylvan to give him a strong start!

We wanted to be sure our son was prepared and feeling confident to enter 1st grade and didn’t lose momentum over the summer months. We decided to enroll him at Sylvan and have been very happy with his progress. He loves going and we can tell he’s progressing so much. We were mostly interested in enrollment for the summer but have decided to keep him there during the upcoming school year. We would recommend to anyone!
