I do not recommend. When they had a different owner Ginny a few years ago she was wonderful! Since then they have changed ownership a couple times. The new owner as of January 2026 I would not recommend spending your hard work for money here. Take it somewhere else where your child deserves the best! They are very unprofessional and don’t care about your child, just your money. I can’t even get proper communication. And this is directly at the owner/ management!
I had a great experience with Sylvan at the Dunn Avenue location. The fact that the owner speaks Spanish makes a big difference, as it allows me to clearly express any concerns or questions. He and his wife are very supportive and truly care about my son’s learning. I really appreciate their dedication.
Meshell Harris the Director and the owner of this location are unprofessional. I cancelled an appointment for a consultation back in January. It has been 6 months now that I have been trying to reach someone about the $150 fee they require in order to book the appointment. I have emailed the Director numerous times and not one single email has been returned. I called numerous times and left messages and never got a return call from her. Sylvan Learning Center on Dunn Avenue is EXCELLENT!! My brother was a Sylvan student back in the early 90’s so I knew this was the place for my child. Mrs. Meshell and the staff worked with my child for both 2nd AND 3rd grade. Our son was behind and struggling to stay on grade level for 3rd grade so we knew since we had success for 2nd grade there was no question but to go back to Sylvan.
