My Son is not a student here, but despite like to share my experience. We were planning on SAT sessions with Sylvan so we went there and Jen was very helpful. My Son gave practice test and he did very well considering going into 10th grade and Sylvan gave honest and non-biased opinion as he do not need classes and they do not want to confuse him with additional strategies etc... My daughter has been going to Sylvan since March 2024. She started with reading twice a week for a total of 3 hours a week. She completed her program in early September and between my husband, her school teachers and myself we all noticed such excellent progress. My daughter’s confidence has improved as well. She is reading on grade level and reading is no longer a fight at home. The teachers at Sylvan are patient and caring. They have a strong understanding of the schools curriculum and a fantastic way to make learning fun.... read more
My son just completed the Reading/Writing program with Sylvan. The teachers were patient, understanding, and encouraging to him. They met him at his level and helped him gain confidence, as well as academic achievement. We will forever be grateful for their well-rounded efforts with him. We will all miss seeing their faces every week!
Sylvan Learning Center of Newington has changed my daughter’s life. They have worked with her and given her a first rate tutoring experience. She came to Sylvan with extreme deficits in reading and mathematics but is now at level with her peers. She has developed confidence and got fantastic grades throughout 5th grade year. I’m so glad our family decided to get the help she needed from Sylvan.
Best investment for SAT prep. My son exceeded his goal after taking the math prep course. Would highly recommend!
