Avoid Sylvan of Minnetonka at all costs! They are scam artists: they overcharge for sessions you don't use and then refuse to refund you. They owe us $630 dollars and at this point refuse to speak to me about it. I had to put them into collections to see some of my money back.
We’ve had a great experience at this location. Friendly administrator staff, great tutoring staff. Flexible scheduling (via text which is great) too! Little lobby area for parents to hang out or can drop off. Kids love the token system - they earn for tutoring hours, reading at home and assessments and they can “shop” the sylvan store for really good prizes, including gift cards. My kids love this place they have a point system to keep us motivated and the way that they teach our kids is on another level! 👍
I am extremely impressed with Sylvan! My son was falling behind, little did I know how much. After testing at sylvan and finding out he was 4 years behind in reading and a year in math we started with 4 hrs a week. After testing again after about 35 hrs of work he had gotten up to grade level again! My son also enjoys going and really likes all his teachers. Which I think is an important factor in his progress. He has fun when he goes! Couldn’t recommend it enough. Money well spent!
