My daughter was 2 grades behind in reading when she started at Sylvan. I was so pleased with the professional staff. She is now on track for reading. She even let me know she thought she could use some help in math. She enjoys going. The token reward system has been a great motivator for her. I recommended this to my sister for my nephew and he is doing great as well! It is a bit expensive but the quality is well worth it.
I loved it, at a young age they helped me with my reading and writing. I then left and at school ended up going to advanced ELA classes! I recommend anyone should go. It's worth the time and money.
We love Sylvan and Jennie @ the west Lansing location. When I found Sylvan my son was seven years old, and I had just a few days before that had a meeting with his then princpal due to learning issues he was having, that I believe was from being a quiet polite kid in a class of 50 students with two teachers and he was gettting lost. My son was having a hard time in Kindergarten. He was getting extra help in school, we were working with him at home and I was picking the brains of my teacher friends and we still couldn't manage to make learning his letters and numbers easier for him. The basics are SO important and we didn't want him to feel frustrated and upset in Kindergarten. I am so happy we decided to put him in Sylvan!
