We are an ESA family, and our children (ages 8 and 9) have attended Sylvan for both part-time and full-time instruction over the past three years. Their reading and writing support includes grammar, punctuation, creative writing, and building toward’s strong writing skills. The small-group setting allows for individualized attention, and we’ve seen steady academic growth along with increased confidence. Sylvan has been a great use of our ESA funds.
We are an ESA family, and our children (ages 8 and 9) currently attend Sylvan for reading and writing classes, completing 4 hours per week per child. Their instruction includes punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, and exposure to different bodies of writing, all intentionally leading up to essay writing and more. I took my notary exam here. The receptionist just was very rude and a racist. When I walked in, there was a Hispanic gentleman waiting in line and I was after him. The lady was silent, didn't acknowledge us. She walked away and as she was away, a Caucasian man walked in and sat down. As she came back she went straight to that gentleman and said "Hello sir, are you next? In front of me and the other gentleman. Thankfully he was very nice and told her that we were waiting before him. I was disgusted!!!!!
Sylvan is a great organization that has helped my kiddo grow tremendously! The staff is very knowledgeable and invested in each child education!
