My son has been attending Sylvan Learning of Bel Air for the past 8 months. He has grown by two whole grade levels in math and has found a true love of writing. The teachers at Sylvan Learning of Bel Air prioritize making connections with the kids and really getting to know them. The staff are also very accommodating with my schedule and are happy to help in any way they can. Both of my boys started attending Sylvan to help with reading skills they were unable to master via virtual learning during Covid. I have seen them both make amazing progress and, more importantly, they see the benefits of the work they've put in and are more confident students.
A wonderful place to teach! Even the most standoffish kids quickly enjoy coming here. The system we use to tutor makes it so effortless. I never have to worry about lesson plans or lack of materials. The SAT program is especially nice; even my most unmotivated students had their scores raised just by showing up regularly to their sessions.
My 16yo daughter has been attending Sylvan for ACT/SAT prep. She absolutely loves the teachers and the director. Her overall test taking skills and confidence have improved greatly! She attends weekly and it has now become part of her regular schedule. I know she will be sad when her time with Sylvan is over. The overall academic strength she has achieved is absolutely priceless. I send a huge thank you to all the staff at the Bel Air Sylvan!
My son has been going here since 4th grade, he's now in 7th. He started with math tutoring and is now keeping a consistent grade in class. He now does writing tutoring and is making great progress. The instructors let him bring his school laptop and they help him with work he's actually doing in class. They keep him interested and engage, which is important because he has ADHD and requires some grace. Sylvan is a great asset to have for any student that might be struggling. The staff is really awesome as well!!!
