Cesleigh has been attending Sylvan since September of 2024. When she started she was testing way below grade level. She was frustrated with reading to the point she was afraid to even try. She was embarrassed she wasn’t as advanced in reading as some of her peers. She has attended once per week for 2 hrs per session for about 18 months. She is now testing above grade level. Sylvan Learning Abilene made a noticeable difference in our daughter’s confidence and skills. The program was structured, supportive, and very effective. We’re truly grateful for the progress she made, the academic improvement was real. The staffs are awesome, constant progress meeting went a long way and much more their schedules' flexibility made it a easier journey for us all. Thank you

My son had some medical issues that caused missed classes which caused some gaps in his math skills and knowledge. His Sylvan sessions were exactly what he needed. My son went from not caring about classes as his confidence was so low, and his grades even lower, to being excited about going to class and making 100’s on nearly every excitement. When my daughter was flagged at school as high probability for a learning disability, It didn’t surprise me as she had been struggling in school and had terrible grades. I had tried hooked on phonics and flashcards but struggled myself with knowing where to even begin and having a 5 month old on top of it made it difficult to make the time to sit down with her long enough to make a difference. I’ve been fortunate to be able to enroll my daughter into this program and watch her open up and grow leaps and bounds. As a recovery journey following the loss of language due to epilepsy, my child has improved her reading level, grown confidence in the classroom, isn’t ashamed to ask questions and join conversation, is no longer isolated due to a language barrier, and has improved in nearly all subjects. She has been given a second chance with sylvan.
