We bought our first porch swing from Medford Swings in 1986. Bought our second swing in 2012. Both made of oak. We got the high back which makes swinging more comfortable because you can lay your head back. I just sold our old (36 year old) porch swing which was still good and sturdy but needed refinished or painted. We also added the spring hangers to the top of chains which also made it very comfortable.
