We lost Bandit in July of 2024. It has been hard to deal with him not being in the house anymore. I was looking to keep his Spirit and Memory alive. Looking through the Open Studios catalog from last year, I open it and found an artist named Suzy Radonsky. Working with Suzy was a joy from start to finish. What truly sets her apart is her thoughtful approach. She just did not ask for a photo of my dog, she asked meaningful questions about personality, quirks, and what I wanted to be included in the painting. Lots of fun, and I left with a masterpiece! Suzy sketched my dog’s picture onto the canvas, so we were able to get right to painting. She shared tips on technique, and helped me with color and composition. The result is a piece of art that I’m proud of, and which is personal. This is the first time I’ve ever completed a painting!
