I had a very stressful and disappointing experience with Sutherland Law regarding a condominium lien matter. The original issue was a $169.50 chargeback relating to the removal of boxes from a garbage chute. Your claim that your firm was “forced” to file a lien is incorrect. The lien was a discretionary action that generated legal fees, not a legal necessity. I was in compliance with the cited requirement two days before the lien was filed, a fact your firm knew or should have known. Despite this, you proceeded with the lien and chose to send the notice of intent by regular mail during an active postal strike, ensuring it would not be received in a timely manner.
