I went looking for a used office chair. While I came out with one, I don't think it was worth the hassle vs buying new. First of all the prices aren't good for used gear, the one I ended up with was discounted very little from the new price for the same chair at Staples. Second, a lot of the furniture I saw was in terrible shape, with obvious stains or broken components (and still priced highly), so be careful if you're buying a big lot of chairs that they're all actually usable. Pretty good but no used premium desk chairs. Everything used was $50-$200. We were looking for something that would have retailed new for $1,000 like a Steelcase or Aeron.
