I had a session with Jason for headshots after our initial session 4 years ago. He really is excellent at his craft and incredibly passionate about the work he does. Even though I hate photos of myself, I really loved the environment Jason created and the direction/insight that he is able to provide. I was surprised at the vibe of the photos I ended up choosing after following Jason's direction throughout the session and trusting the process, and am really happy with the work he has done.
Working with Jason was a memorable experience from start to finish. He creates a space that helps you relax and let your expression come through naturally. He has a rare ability to draw out authenticity and translate it into portraits that genuinely communicate who you are. This is his superpower! I loved every part of the process and I am thrilled with the results. I would highly recommend Jason to anyone looking for portraits that say something about you.
Jason was recommended to me many moons ago (probably almost 10 years ago now) by an artist friend, and we have used him for our last 3 team headshot sessions. Each time we need a refresh, we can't go past him. As I know we won't get the stiff boring/serious personality-less "pretty" shots that you see everywhere, but rather, that we will get some that exude warmth/human connection and scream who we are as a brand. I have never worked with a photographer like Jason before. He understood my vision and helped translate it into photographs, better than I could have imagined or described. His instinct for what works (and what doesn’t), ability to capture that in directions I could understand, and creativity were all next level.
From the start I felt that I was in very good hands. Jason was very motivated to getting out of the session what I wanted. Jason is super talented and patient. As the session progressed it became much easier, and by the end we were able to play around with it and explore different things. You could see the changes in the pictures as the day went on.
