This was the best goddamn food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Man gave me two samples of beef and chicken. Both were scrumptious. I loved that chicken whatever he gave me was amazing. I also got the two meat pies, which were also to die for everything was fresh and smelled amazing. 10/10 would recommend every single day.
Ed's Deli - If you can make it here weekdays between 8am-3pm, Ed is serving up some seriously flavorful dishes. I ordered the beef Shawarma sandwich and he offered up a sample of the chicken, which was delicious. The sauce on the beef, which makes it so tasty, also makes the sandwich a little messy, maybe a cleaner bowl if that matters to you. If you come after hours, there is a refrigerated section with deserts and some other delicacies. There are to stand up tables, and a picnic table outside, otherwise to-go.
This place is a hidden gem! My weekly go-to is the chicken & garlic sandwich (say yes to the peppers and pickled jalapeños, trust me!). I also enjoy the falafel (homemade) bowl! Everything I have ordered is always fresh. The owner, Ed, is just a wonderful person and he truly enjoys making people happy through food and it shows!
I implore you to visit Ed’s deli! The chicken pita sandwich is stellar (get it with jalapeños! And pick up some mints if you have a job interview afterwards, it is delectably garlicky!) I am usually a half sandwich kind of person but it was so good it I ate it all in one sitting. The meat pie, hummus, baba ganoush, toum, baklava are also delicious. I will get the falafel next time and report back. If I lived closer I would visit weekly. Friendly service too!
Ed's Deli, inside the Super USA convenience store, makes some of the best Middle Eastern food that you'll find in the Twin Cities. I recently had their beef shawarma sandwich, and it was amazing. The meat is so well seasoned. The sandwich is made fresh right in front of you at the counter with fresh ingredients. They have to-go items that you can pick up as well. They had Falafels, tabouli, hummus, zaatar, pita chips, pizza, and many other items. Super friendly. Prices are more than reasonable.
Super USA and Ed’s deli has a 4.7 star rating with 79 reviews.
Super USA and Ed’s deli is open now. It will close at 11:00 p.m.
