My experience at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University was overall okay. The school offers solid clinical exposure and a diverse patient population, which is great for learning and gaining real-world experience. Many of the faculty are knowledgeable, and you can definitely build strong skills here. At the same time, there are some challenges. This hospital always comes through for me with fast and reliable service and extra care. Downstate will always be our first choice when it comes too emergencies

Phenomenal institution. Went to the ER, pleasant staff, fantastic service, from the staff at the desk, to the nurses, to the doctors, all are clearly very competent. Even the nurse that was being trained. Kind folks. There were also other patients who clearly had behavioral issues and they were still patient while the patients in question were deliberately giving them a difficult time.
