⭐☆☆☆☆ I do not recommend Sunshine House in Duncan. We dealt with ongoing staffing issues that sometimes made it impossible to drop off our child as scheduled. There were frequent safety concerns, including toddlers as young as 21 months being placed in the same room with 5- and 6-year-olds. On multiple occasions, kitchen staff were left supervising children in the kitchen, which was extremely concerning from a safety and supervision standpoint. I went on a tour at Sunshine House and had such a great experience! Reagan showed me around and was super nice and easy to talk to. What really stood out was how knowledgeable she was about the curriculum—she broke everything down in a way that was easy to understand and explained how each part supports the kids’ development. You can tell she really knows her stuff and cares a lot about the kids and their growth. I left feeling super confident in what Sunshine House offers.
My granddaughter 2 yrs old, had scratches on her face that were unexplained on her first day. Then when questioned. Was told that she “must of fallen.” Not a valid response when you’re taking care of children. Seems that the children are unsupervised if this is happening. Second day there, my son was told to pick her up because she had a fever. When he arrived she looked as if she had been crying. Was sitting in the middle of the room by herself. I have been very scared to put my little one in daycare because I haven't used daycare system since my oldest which is 14 was 2 years old themselves so 12 years. And the first week was a little rough because she wasn't used to it. But they did such a great job at helping her adjust. And now she's got teachers that are her favorite teachers and she's only been there a handful of weeks and I just can't say how happy I am with how this process went and how comfortable I feel dropping her off now.
