My husband fought in the Gulf war. Won a Bronze Star in the invasion of Panama. He took emergency supplies to New Orleans when Katrina hit. He was at Sunset Homes for two months. During that time he lost 16 pounds, received two wounds, wasn't fed for 43 hours and missed crucial doctor's appointments. They do put the care of their clients in their priority list and justify this with a lot of nonsense. Everything is done for the convenience of management, especially transportation.

Most decent well kept beautiful nursing home I've seen in a long time. I used to work at one for a couple of years that was a little ran down and some staff was NOT doing things by State Law. Not good, plus my grandmother was in there and I just hated that she had to live that way. God rest her soul. No pen by your comments box or I would have put how nice the facility was in there as well. Thank you for all you women and men do. God Bless you!!!!!

I remember the day we moved my grandmother in here, Deb was VERY helpful. I thought most of the nurses were helpful. But, this place can be kind of depressing. My dad says he NEVER wants to step foot in here again because it’s where quite a few of our relatives were, which understandably brings back some NOT so nice memories.
