My brother (who lives out of state) and I had to make the difficult decision to move Mom out her home in November of 2024. She suffers from Alzheimer's, and even though we tried a live-in 24x7 caregiver in her home, things were spiraling out of control. This is a wonderful facility with an exceptional staff. The place is immaculately clean and the residents are treated with respect and dignity. The afternoon Thanksgiving brunch was terrific.
The Sunrise facility has been a true blessing for our family. The staff is not only professional, but also incredibly kind and compassionate. From the moment, my mother-in-law moved in, we felt welcomed and supported. The community is clean and well maintained, and there are always engaged group activities available for the residence. My wife Margo was admitted to reminiscence care April 2024 after a five year battle with Alzheimer’s. Her dementia worsened quickly despite the best efforts of the team, which was extremely caring and responsive. After a month she required medication management for several weeks in a hospital geriatric psych unit. I visited often, never providing any notice that I was coming.
