My husband was at Sunrise of McLean on the memory care floor for slightly over one year before he passed away. Our experience there, I visited him every day, was as good as it could be under the trying circumstances of caring for an aging and ill spouse. Both the facility in general and the Memory Care floor in particular were managed efficiently and with sensitivity to the needs of not only the residents but also of the residents' families. Choosing Sunrise of McLean, Reminiscence floor (memory care) has been the best decision we made for my mother. The Memory staff long time senior aides, Reminiscence Manager, the med tech and activities staff have made communications open and frequent. Everyone is kind, compassionate and caring throughout the building, from the maintenance to the front desk staff. I'm an entertainer who works in assisted living and memory care facilities throughout the Washington, D.C. region. Caring and consistent service to residents. From the Director to Concierge to med staff and food service, they genuinely want to make people feel safe and at home. Julie is especially helpful in advising both family and residents.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Sunrise of McLean and was truly blown away by how warm and welcoming the community felt from the moment I walked in. Matthew Veleber, the Director of Sales, provided a wonderful tour and took the time to thoughtfully walk me through everything the community offers. The recent renovations are absolutely gorgeous, and the community genuinely feels like home. What stood out to me most, though, is how tenured and dedicated the team is.
