First and foremost, the staff are very kind and caring. When my mom moved in, the staff went out of their way to be welcoming to her and us. They worked with us under a tight timeline to get her moved in and accomodate her needs. They even temporarily loaned her a couple of pieces of furniture until she could provide her own. I recently toured Sunrise assisted living facility and was truly impressed. The entire community was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. The staff were not only polite but also incredibly considerate and attentive, showing genuine care for the residents. This is definitely a place I would feel confident recommending to a loved one or to our clients from Virginia Home Care services. It’s clear that the well-being of the residents is a top priority here.
My father entered memory care at this Sunrise location in June 2024 and passed away in January 2025 after suffering from dementia. I'm so thankful that there was an opening available and that the entire facility staff treated my father like their own family member. They are too many people to thank for helping my father feel secure and comfortable while he adjusted to his new home. I met with Julie the executive director at Sunrise earlier this week and I have to say the community is wonderful. There are a ton of community spaces for the residents and families to gather, and the new renovation makes the place truly look and feel like a luxury building. I had the pleasure of speaking to a few of the residents as well and they all had so many nice things to say about living there as well as the staff.
