My parents were in the memory care unit. They always seemed to be understaffed and shorthanded. Not only were these staff members in charge of personal care, they also had to serve the food and clear the dining room. The dining room was in dire need of a deep cleaning .There were times that staff was pulled away from this unit and sent to work downstairs in the general Assisted Living unit. Finally, I had taken time to write my review after months of consideration. I was employed by Sunrise Huntington as Resident Care Director. Not my first job as Director. I have been a nurse for 20 years and Director for 10 years. But this place made me hate my job, myself to an extent where I started doubting myself. The management is a politics in this building from the Regional to the ED. They will call you day and night at 2am, 3am, severly short staffed.
