We had our parents at the Sunrise of Beaconsfield for over 7 years. Our experience is mixed, between the care provided, and the management of the business. The caregivers are kind and patient and do their best, as are some of the management staff. But make no mistake, Sunrise is a FOR PROFIT business. The priority between *profit* and *care* is precariously balanced and we were often 'nickeled and dimed' over superfluous issues, in addition to regular arbitrary cost increases. My mother moved into Sunrise of Beaconsfield in June of 2019 in Assisted Living and, with her advancing Alzheimer’s disease, she eventually moved into the Reminiscence neighbourhood as this area is fully tailored to caring the residents with advanced dementia. She passed away on September 3rd, 2024. Entrusting Sunrise of Beaconsfield with our mother’s care was the best decision my siblings and I made.
