I took a broom making class from Cynthia. I'm not a maker and am terrible at all things crafty. She was so kind, patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic. It's obvious that she loves what she does. After years of sweeping with factory-made brooms, my beautiful new Sunhouse Craft woven-top sweeper has made me a realize that my previous brooms were cheap imitations of what a broom should be. My Sunhouse broom feels silky as it glides across the floor, deftly reaching into corners and edges to grab every bit of dust, crumbs, and flour on my kitchen floor. We visit this shop about once a quarter to see what new and unique things they have in stock. We rarely leave without something we cannot live without. Cynthia is always so cheerful and inviting. She and her husband are both amazing artists who have added a great option for gifts and home goods to Berea's unique artist retail space.
