I have been banking here for approximately 4plus years..Originally with Pioneer bank,then the transfer to Sunflower.I experienced a smooth transfer of service .Rosanna has been a great resource for managing our banking needs.
Horrible customer service. They “lost” my grandfathers account and didn’t notify anyone about an account until 3 years after he died. It should’ve been transferred to my grandmothers name but they “forgot” and by the time they noticed it, my grandmother had been dead for 2 years. Had to retain a lawyer, sign and notarize multiple documents, and go through multiple phone calls just to get the account released. Steer clear of this bank. Always had problems before they switched to sunflower. They get cards mixed up, the replacement cards take about 2 months to arrive. I signed on with free checking, now I get charged a monthly service fee of 9 dollars if my account goes below $100. Worst bank ever.
I finally found a free checking account with a low minimum balance that was not a 45 min drive away. People were friendly. Got us through all the paperwork and helped us work the system well. All the bonuses for setting up new accounts helped out a lot too. I'm surprised at some low ratings from other users. They must have had a very different experience than I had.
