I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Summit Credit Union caused me to completely lose confidence in the organization. My biggest concern is what I believe are weak verification and identity confirmation practices, which in my opinion create unnecessary exposure to fraud and impersonation risks. Absolutely worst bank to have a direct deposit go to. My employer submits everything on Wednesday every week. I can see the amount pending deposit in my checking account every Thursday but when summit actually releases it. That's never the same. Some weeks it's at 2am on Friday. Some weeks it's at 9am on Friday. Even though they have the deposit on Thursday with the Friday release date. Why do I have to wait past midnight for my money?
I hade two wire transfers come in my account i was waiting for then boom fraud alert never bother to call me up for proff of transfers just took it apon themselves and blocked my account and sent the transfers back lucky I got them back from the customers afew weeks later should have gotten a business account but didn't want to deal with the taxes every transfers I received they accused it fraud and never once asked me for documents the only fraud issue was summit bank blocking my account stay out of people's business and pe... read more
Spend money on car parts, no problem at all. Spend money on a car seat for the upcoming birth of a grandchild, immediate fraud alert. Then you get to play phone tag for 15-20 minutes, trying to figure out if your payment went through. I believe in the 3 strikes rule, this institution has done this twice. One more, and I’ll be moving my business elsewhere. Do Better!!
