Great place to learn a trade in less than a year. The are passionate about teaching you what you need to know.
Im not the one to typically leave reviews but this time I will. I want to thank summit college and my night welding instructors chuck and Jay. As I coming up on graduation I want to express my deepest gratitude to them both. Their teach and skills they have to pass on is far better than most ive ever met. As active duty military I have had my fair share of leaders and these men are the image of just that. For anyone looking to start a career in welding these two men are the ones to learn from.
Summit College El Cajon is amazing! They’re very understanding of life situations and provide great support when I need to catch up on assignments. Highly recommend for anyone seeking flexible and compassionate guidance.
Going through Summit College has given me such an experience. The teachers there John Golden, Mark Knight, and Jason Golden are awsome instructors all of them are very diverse in welding experience all the questions I had were fulfilled, and the camaraderie in the welding program is strong they want to see you succeed and will do everything in there power to make that possible.
Do NOT Attend the electrical program. 14-18 THOUSAND dollars for a certificate that does not get you anywhere. This place robbed me as well as several other of my colleagues attending the electrical program. Promising the school was needed and they would give us prep for the journeyman test. Both a lie. The head of staff is extremely immature and quite honestly a crook. When I confronted him about feeling like things were unfair he kicked me out of his office and made a scene.
