We were looking for assisted living for my parents that had memory care available for my father who was recently diagnosed with dementia. We also wanted to find a place that was smaller and felt more like home (there are only 32 suites which felt perfect for them). The administration and care teams have been so helpful and kind! The way they allow one staff member to be on her phone constantly, come in 40 minutes late every shift and then just sit in HR office all shift while everyone is burnt out and running around doing all the work and no one says anything. Asked this tall day shift girl with pink hair for help (she was float) she said you can do it as she sat on her personal phone in Anna’s office…. Suite Living Prior Lake is clean and new. The aids are very efficient support and kind. They work extremely hard to please residents and family. The issue there might be the the head of care. The facilities people in charge might not understand dementia and might even find specific parts of dementia amusing to them. The head care giver might have genuinely enjoyed correcting residents with any simple confusion or hallucinations.
