My experience with this court has been fair. My husband and I have been dealing with J&D for going on 8 years now for custody. The judges seem to listen to the facts and not base their verdict on one sole thing or another. I feel they truly listen to both sides and do what they feel is right. Even though we haven't recieved exactly what we wanted every time, I do feel the decisions were thought out and took all factors into consideration. Ruining one life at a time. Mental health in America is poor. It starts here. Support the children, make them feel heard. Judges need training on emotional needs of children with Autism and other special needs. Judge allowed attorney to be disrespectful ...calling my daughter "That Woman" when addressing the court. Judge appeared bias... unreceptive to hearing from both sides before making a decision. Much work needed here.
If you are a male, you are treated like a criminal at this place. My son joined the military and per VA state code, support is supposed to end. I simply showed up here to bring all the documentation of this to petition the court to stop payment IAW state code for enforcement and got a bunch of wrong information from the clerks or, nobody had a clue on what to do. Its interesting they can get you pay support from anywhere, but when it comes to stopping it, nobody has a clue or, will not call you back. The commonwealth is garb... read more
