If you're on a tax payment plan get ready to be fined every month of that plan, and don't expect them to not place a DMV hold even after the payment plan begins. You also can't pay those fines until the primary balance is paid off apparently, and I forgot to mention the website won't allow you to process a second payment until the first one has cleared. Everyone I've dealt with on the phone at this office has been lovely but I'll vote for a head of lettuce next election.

Should pay taxes on the vehicle at time of purchase. I agree with that, however paying taxes on the same vehicle year after year, I do not agree with.

I give four stars because the people I’ve interacted with were kind and professional but I believe it to be awful that they charge taxes on your car. The car tax is outrageous. I could not believe my car tax bill, over a thousand dollars. They don’t inform you until sometime in September, and then expect it to be paid December 5th. All we do is pay taxes on top of taxes on top of taxes. It’s robbery. We paid taxes when we brought the car, then you have to continue to pay taxes as long as you own the car. Taxation is theft. It’s penalizing people for ownership. Not to mention they have the gall to charge late fees… on money they are not even entitled to in the first place.
