Wells Fargo programs 5 working days to pay Submeter One. Submeter One charged me a $10.00 late fee even though Wells Fargo processed the payment 7 working days in advance of the due date. I called Submeter One and they said my payment was late and they are sure 'because they open the mail every day'. Seems to me Submeter One likes their antiquated payment method by mail so they can make money on late fees without any way for the customer to contest a bogus late fee charge SAD.

Submeter one, bills with a convenience fee of 5 dollars then adds another 5 dollar convenience fee. How is it i am being charged when me paying online is more convenient for THEM as they dont have to hire someone to input a check? Furthermore, since they are not technically a utility the consumer has no protection that would come with the designation... this is as dishonest and exploitive as a company could get.
