We are a yarn shop that has a wide array of fibers and assortments of colors & brands. We are a learning studio that teaches all ages. We host after school meet ups, workshops, offsite workshops, and summer camps. We are glad to support our community and be a therapeutic outreach with fiber. We have community nights that are so wonderful because it has brought people together that do so many different crafts but to be able to sit down and fellowship with likeminded is amazing. What an amazing gem! While I’ve never been in person, all of my online purchases (and there have been several) have been easy and informative! Heather has gone out of her way to help me with yarn selection and I haven’t been led astray. It’s always hard to purchase yarn online, don’t hesitate to contact Heather, she’ll answer all your questions and get everything you need shipped out incredibly quickly!
This was a delightful shop to visit on the NC yarn tour! I had so much fun exploring all of the different rooms, each one holding all sorts of colorful and fun yarns! There were many yarns I had never seen before (especially cotton ones) as well as a nice selection of Noro (a favorite of mine!) Heather was enthusiastic and encouraging as we shared tales of yarn adventures. I will definitely be back, especially when I have my list of amigurumi projects to work on!
During the Central Carolina Yarn Crawl I finally made it to Wadesboro to see this amazing shop. It is an hour and 45 minutes away from my home unfortunately or I would be there more often. It is a great shop!! Lots of STUFF to look at and find interesting. I found myself wanting something in every room. Knitting, crochet, embroidery, spinning, weaving, felting, and so many more things to spark your interest! The owner was very friendly, inviting and helpful. I will be back when I can. Thank you❤🍒
Visited for the NC Yarn Tour with a friend. A cute store with a huge selection. There was a large variety and to my understanding the prices were very reasonable. The owner was helpful but she was a little abrasive in some of her commentary between expressing frustration about not being included in the Charlotte area yarn event even though she was only a little bit further away from Charlotte than the store in Waxhaw and her unnecessary comment about her distaste for Thrift Stores. I found this off putting as we had just dri... read more
Ah, Studio 256! It's truly a haven for us creative souls, isn't it? Stepping inside is always such a vibrant experience – the sheer abundance of yarn is, of course, a given, but what truly sets them apart is their delightful embrace of all the crafts. It's such a joy to find not only a glorious wall of yarns but also a thoughtfully curated selection of felting fibers, a charming array of sewing notions, the delightful bits and bobs for amigurumi, and a sparkling collection of beads. Beyond the impressive inventory, what reso... read more
