I have been a patient at the Flaum Eye Institute for 15 years, Eastman Dental, Neurology Dept., Gastoenenterogy Dept. Behavioral Health outpatient, and CPaP. All provide excellent care and the staff is compassionate and professional. However I was a patient in-house Psych Dept. twice. Both were nightmares. I was there for medication adjustments. I was taken to strong for a suicide attempt..they took me to this place with no windows no lights on all the time nurses were uncompassionate and liers. I was locked in a room for 25 hours told I was being admitted given more of my normal dosage of meds and treated like I was crazy.. what kind of place is that to put someone with suicidal thoughts?! I just want to send a resounding thank you to the staff here. My 78-year-old Uncle suffered a horrible accident and though some family was able to be with him, I was not able to make the last-minute trip from Memphis, TN, but was still preparing for the worst. He has since returned to his home recovering wonderfully and constantly brags about the treatment and care he received at this facility.
