Been an investor with SS for almost 3 yrs now. Overall, good customer service. Responsive, helpful, and professional. I would give 5 stars but the 1% fee for early withdrawal prevents me from doing so. I knew that upfront, so no complaint there, just wish there was more flexibility for early withdrawal due to unforeseen circumstances (such as COVID). I will continue to invest with them and recommend them as good investment.
Can not give this company any lower a rating than this, otherwise -10 would be a better score. I have had some savings in this company for several years. Everything worked well until this month. The company has some kind of problem with Texas, so the company was to return all of the funds to us by check. They withdrew most of the funds on the 18th of June, no check has been sent even up till this date 06-29-2020. Street shares has a practice of holding customers money for a FULL WEEK before depositing it into a customer account. A deposit that is withdrawn from a customer account to pay down principal on a loan is held for a full seven days, despite the fact that weekly payments are made from the very same account. This process is outdated, unfair, and deserves a review. i just wish they were FDIC insured I hope my funds are available when i decide to withdraw so far everything is good except no regular withrawals
The only financials available are over 4 years old, when they initially filed with the SEC. It would be beneficial to see how, and where the monies are being spent before investing.
StreetShares, Inc.; Their website is not user friendly. They indicate they are working the bugs out of it. No auto deposit available at this writing, only one time singular investments. Rather odd for a business 4-years into existence to still have these problems. No weekend or after hours contact availability, but their customer service does follow up with you via the phone or email. I have been investing with StreetShares for about seven months. So far, it is "as advertised". Customer service has been responsive and personal with straight forward answers to questions regarding the platform. Fees are clearly explained and reasonable for this type of investment opportunity. Funds transfers have been completed expeditiously and reliably. Good companies like this, especially those offering employment and financial opportunities to Veterans need to be recognized.
