I used to love Strack & VanTil's. The St. John location is closest to my home, but I barely shop there anymore. It's not just the prices, but the quality and variety of the foods have really diminished. It really became obvious when they started discontinuing many of my pantry staples about a year ago. Since Hy-Vee has come in, it's even worse. So many discontinued products, I can't tell you how many times I have brought home food that has been bad. Avocados are the biggest issue.
