I always thought Stokers would be ridiculously expensive, yes, you can buy cheaper flat pack and mediocre quality furniture elsewhere, but I must say the quality of furniture we bought from Chester is outstanding. Perhaps more importantly, the level of Customer Service is 2nd to none. Of course there are occasional issues in life but it’s the way in which we deal with them that counts. I bought a double wardrobe and tallboy chest of draws from this store last year. All I can say is I would have got better quality from IKEA! The wardrobe is just pressed chipboard which you can't tell in the showroom and it's so flimsy it rocks when I open the doors. They delivered the wardrobe without the top section and the wrong handles on the wardrobe which didn't match the tallboy draws. I regret spending my money in this shop and wouldn't buy from there again.
Wife and I went in to buy a sofa. A member of staff stalked us round the shop, not saying anything to us despite eye contact several times. Not even a hello. Did you expect me to pick up a sofa and run out with it? Incredibly rude service and felt oppressive just trying to browse. Despite finding something we liked, the experience made us feel so uncomfortable we went elsewhere and had a much better experience.
Always friendly and helpful in this store. Buying from them is easy. Great advice and no pressure.
