Made a special day trip back to Bozeman just to shop here and it was worth it! Our house sitter asked to be paid in local yarn (we are knitters) and this shop did not disappoint. We tried looking in Red Lodge and other towns around Yellowstone but *this* was what I was looking for. If you want Montana yarns in this part of the state, come to Stix Yarn!
Stix is my favorite yarn store! Cameron and Tracy are so fun and have the greatest tips and tricks! They carry the most wonderful assortment of yarn and have a great presence on Instagram which I love and find so useful.
I just received my online order and am extremely pleased with it! Carmen was so friendly and helpful when I called, and my order came quickly and was very well packaged. I only wish that I lived closer so that I could get into the shop in person. I follow the shop on Instagram, and really enjoy the photos and videos, especially the tour of the shop and the WIPs episodes. Thank you so much...I hope to get back to Bozeman soon, and when I do, I'll be sure to come in. I highly recommend Stix!
As a vacationer, I visited in July 2024. There are three rooms stocked full of yarn and notions. It is a wonderland.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Lots of yarn to select from including local yarns as well has locally made bags. Went here after a vacation in Yellowstone. I always have to hit up the local yarn shop before I leave.
