I have tried to pick up my direct debit card twice, as frustratingly they sent it to the bank to collect rather than my home. The first time I filled in all the forms, showed my ID yet they couldn't give it to me, despite the other clerk saying it was OK to give it to me. So after 30 mins I left without it. The second time, 3 weeks later (as I have no time to pop in during my working hours) I managed to find a window to collect it again. Again I left without it, after waiting 20 minutes in the queue. This branch makes me regret banking with St. George. Permanently understaffed, I’ve never spent less than 20min waiting in line for simple deposits because the ATM is broken. Staff ignore you regularly, that could help you. Doesn’t matter what time of day. Mornings, lunchtime, afternoons. It’s all the same. Avoid at all costs. To the manager - happy to give feedback personally if you respond with a number to call.
