Whenever we feel a patient has a condition that is beyond the scope of care that we provide, we will never hesitate to refer that patient to the correct specialist. We do not provide advanced retina care at the Wright Eye Center, and therefore I referred your mother to a retina specialist who could properly diagnose and, if needed, treat the condition. Dr. Clancy told my mother that both of her maculars were bleeding and needed immediate attention, but that he couldn't give her the needed shots. He referred her to another doctor. She spent a terrified weekend until she was able to get an appointment with a doctor in Parker who checked her and found NO bleeding. She has had this condition for years, and has tried to keep on top of it.
