I had a very poor experience using Steven as the attorney for my home closing. Two reasons I will list here. 1. We had initially agreed on a price for the closing, but he decided by himself to almost double his prices and rolled it into other costs without telling us about it. We found out only after asking for a breakdown of all costs by item. To his defense, there were some extra work to be done that was outside of the initial quote, so I can agree to pay a bit more, but not telling us about the price hike was poor taste. ... read more

I've known Mr. Steven Freesman for several years, he represented me both for a COOP purchase and a sale, and such deals can be complex as it involves shares in a corporation essentially. I've learned a lot through both processes from him and he is very straight and to the point, a quality which I very much appreciate. His pricing is very competitive considering the high cost area and he knows the market and special circumstances in NJ and NY thoroughly. I highly recommend him! Very few attorneys will communicate effectively with you during a real estate transaction, not him.
