My husband has been in this facility for the past 3 months and I have not been impressed. There are a few very nice, caring people working here that have looked out for my husband whom I greatly appreciate. However, why does it take 30-45 minutes or more to answer a patient's call button? Especially for those that can't function without help. How will my husband ever learn to use the bathroom, if it's just easier to keep him in a diaper instead? My Vietnam veteran husband was forwarded to this place. He suffers from both PTSD and dementia and I was promised a return call from a caretaker within an hour. It's been well beyond that. I've tried calling. Endlessly. No one answers. If the staff can't follow through on returning a phone call and cannot be bothered to answer a ringing phone, what does that say about their attention to patients?
Dirty, funky, disgusting is an understatement. Im still not sure if these were board certified nurses as Ive never experienced such unprofessionalism in a medical setting EVER. Everybody is rude from case management to the nurses. My moms room was filthy upon arrival, and I had to wipe it down. Food is always below freezing , people crying for help that never comes.
