These people are financial predators. My parents held the dog fund BOPAX, probably purchased on the bad advice of their former advisor Truist. For decades, this fund has trailed most other similar broad large cap investments by 25% or so, but even in failure, Sterling Capital managed to pay themselves huge amounts by selling assets within the fund and generating huge capital gains taxes for their shareholders. Kept getting cold calls from a young woman who wanted me to hire them as a property management company. She called me again this morning told me that she knew I wasn’t expecting a call from her, but she was just wondering if I needed help renting our property I responded with no and she hung up on me mid word. I guess they can’t be nice to people unless they are getting something from you.
