My whole experience with this bank has been a horrible and horrendous ordeal since there merger/takeover of Astoria Bank. There online banking app rarely works and continually requests authentication confirmation but then never actually works correctly. There customer service representatives are good for absolutely nothing and be prepared for a 30-45 minute wait before actually getting one. Worst bank ever. They cannot hire front desk clerks . Wait time is 40+ min to see someone.
I had been a customer for many years with Provident, then Sterling took over and services are gone (online transaction download), service don't work (Bill Pay). So I closed my account and now they are ruining my reputation by making and bouncing payments all over the place. Stay very far away from them.
