My children have tried a variety of camps over the years and this was the worst. The camp workers particularly one named Mark was a miserable mean councillor that mistook his summer job for a child psychologist occupation. Neither of those two options he should work in. This place may be a little cheaper then some other options but please don’t make your children suffer the experience. The location is a gym in a school that has no AC in the summer months. I wouldn’t send my children back even if it was free.
Be Aware this is NOT a STEM camp. The camp counsellors seemed nice but nowhere offering an environment that is supposed to promote STEM activities. my daughter attended last week camp and although she had fun thanks to friends she made, the activities do not reflect what they advertised. she ws in the Minions theme and nothing was nearly a Minions related activities. The first day was a minecraft on the laptop but she did not know what is (we do not let her play this type game at home) . she asked for help to the counsellors... read more
5yo Child loved it. We appreciated our counselors so much, we gave them thank you gifts. Coding is new to my child, who typically likes experimenting and building, but child still enjoyed it. Good job and well done. Recommend information email be more clear e.g. does "dress up" mean costumes, or tuxedoes and gowns.
Camps were well organized and safe, my kids had a great time at the Sidney BC camp. It re-ignited his interest in coding. There was a good balance of screen time and active time. The science activities even included trips to the observatory and aviation museum. Weekly walks to the beach and water fun time. My ND child (9 year old) found like minded friends in his age group. Leaders were well organized and helpful. My son doesn’t usually love camps (he’s done sports camps, science venture, UVic, private school and community c... read more
Will definitely bring my son back to this day camp next year. Highly recommended
